This last week all my papers and presentations have been hectic.
But, the presentations have been awesome.
Learning about the needs of different populations in Austin has been enlightening. I've loved seeing how invested people have become.
In this social justice class, it is interesting to see all the different paths we have taken.
Working in a group has it's ups and downs, but it is a part of life. In the social work profession we will be faced with conflicted time schedules, outside pressures and group cohesion. Learning to deal with these challenges in school has been challenging but beneficial.
Overall, with each person added, more perspectives and possible solutions are added.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you that the presentations have been well worth the wait, and listening to our classmates' ideas/intervention strategies have been enlightening and refreshing. Since I don't like talking in front of groups, and group presentations can be challenging, I too realized a while back that these types of assignments are necessary in social work and many other fields. Great post. :-)
